The rewarded, 28 years-old lyric dramatic soprano Sanna Matinniemi (1990, Juankoski, Finland) started her vocal studies with mezzosoprano Marjatta Airas in Kuopio Conservatory back in 2006. In 2012 she moved to Vienna to continue her studies in Vienna in the world famous University of Music and Performing Arts (Universität für Musik und darstellende Kunst Wien) under the tutelage Univ. Prof. Sebastian Vittucci. She finnished her Bachelor in Music in Voice Performance with Highest Honors (2017) and is now finnishing her studies in Master of Music in Opera. At the moment she is internationally active both in concert and opera in prodigious music festivals.
Sanna Matinniemi made her operatic debut in Mozart´s Don Giovanni as Zerlina in Lyric Opera Studio Weimar in 2011. To her latest roles belong e.g. : Viclinda in Verdi´s “I Lombardi” (2017, Staatsoper Banska Bystrica), The Sister in Aulis Sallinen´s Kullervo ( Savonlinna Opera Festival 2017), Fiordiligi in Mozart´s Cosi fan tutte (MDW 2018), Ifigenia in Händel´s Oreste (Schlosstheater Schönbrunn, Vienna, 2018).
